Hoi ik wil geheugen kopen en als ik kijk bij everest staat er:512 DDR SDRAM pc 3200 ( 200 MHZ ) , maar kan ik er geheugen bijvoegen van DDR 400 MHZ 512 ?

Ligt aan het het moederbord, maar het geheugen gaat toch draaien op de laagste frequentie/ clocktimings van het geheugen dat al in het moederbord zit. In jouw geval dus op dat van pc3200, 200 mHz. Dus het heeft geen nut om geheugen van 400 mHz te kopen als het die snelheid toch niet benut.
Maar ik ken eigelijk geen geheugen dat op 400 mHz draait, dus ik denk dat je naar de snelheid aan het kijken bent van dualmemory, en dat aan het vergelijken bent met de snelheid van een enkel geheugenreepje. Want als je pc3200(200 mHz) in dualmemory gaat draaien krijg je 400 mhz.
Dus als je nu ??n reepje van pc3200 hebt en er nog dezelfde bij doet kun je die samen op 400 mHz draaien. Als je moederbord dit ondersteund tenminste....

Dat DDR 400 MHz zal dus ook PC3200 zijn.
Als het reepjes van 512MB in je pc inderdaad 1 reepje is, en niet 2, dan kun je er nog een reepje van 512MB PC3200 bijstoppen en in Dual Channel draaien (op 400MHz).
Het beste kan je wel geheugen pakken van hetzelfde merk en met zelfde timings, en het liefst exact hetzelfde geheugen, zodat je zeker weet dat het samen zal werken en in Dual Channel.
Ik kan er behoorlijk wat over uitleggen hoe het werkt, maar ik denk dat je beter >zoiets< kunt lezen of een andere bron op internet zoekt, zodat je wat meer weet hoe het werkt en welk geheugen je kunt nemen.
Edit: precies tegelijk met Bj_farmore :o
Maar hij bedoelt dus eiglijk ook Dual Channel mode, dat waarschijnlijk al bij 2 reepjes door je mobo zelf gedaan wordt als je ze in de goede slots zet. Lees daarvoor je mobo-boekje ;)

op everest staat er effectieven kloksnelheid 400 mhz als ik kijk bij moederbord maar er zit nu 512 200 mhz in, als ik nu die 512 400 mhz erin stop zie ik dan wel meer snelheid??
kijk hier maar naar, ik wil gewoon 1024 mb geheugen hebben en wil weten of dit nu zal werken.

je moet even bij everest kijken onder SPD daar kun je zien hoeveel geheugen reepjes je er in hebt zitten, is dat er ??n? dan kun je gerust je eerder opgenoemde geheugen er bij in stoppen dat zal wel werken.
Zo niet? heb je er al 2 repen in zitten? dan kun je alsnog wel dat reepje er bij doen maar zal het niet zo effectief werken als omdat je het dan niet in dual hebt draaien en dan zou ik eerder nog 2 van 256 er bij kopen, maar dan heb je wel 4 geheugensloten nodig op je moederbord.
Als ik jouw was zal ik wel geheugen kopen die met zijn clocktimings zo dicht mogelijk bij je clocktimings zit van het geheugen dat je nu hebt.

Dan kun je gewoon dat geheugen kopen dat je eerder had beschreven.
Maar als ik jouw was zou wel kijken of de clocktimings wel goed overheen komen met elkaar dat is het handigst, iig geen geheugen kopen met lagere timings.
Maar als je er drie hebt weet ik niet zeker of je wel je geheugen dual kunt gebruiken, want volgens mij is het zo dat met moederborden die dit ondersteunen meestal 2 x 2 sloten hebben voor 2 x een dual.

hij zegt toch dat er al 1 inzit en er nog 3 in kunnen...
...en 1 + 3 = 4 lijkt me zo :p
Beste is dat hij achterhaald welk geheugen nu in zijn pc zit, desnoods de pc openmaken en het merk en de nummers op het geheugenreepje opschrijven, zodat hij eenzelfde reepje geheugen kan kopen als deze gewoon in NL verkrijgbaar zijn.
De handleiding van je mobo raadplegen voor een Quality Vendors List o.i.d. is ook altijd zo prettig, want mocht je dan toch iets ander geheugen kopen, dan weet je dat het zal werken als het op die QVL lijst staat. Een ge-update lijst is meestal ook op de website van de fabrikant te vinden.
We kunnen hem nu alleen verder helpen als hij meer info heeft over zijn moederbord en het huidige geheugenreepje.
