Ik denk dat ik wat gevonden heb. Deze gast had hetzelfde probleem, maar dan met 2 monitors op dezelfde graka. Misschien werkt het ook voor jou:
1. Uninstall the monitor drivers, followed by the Nvidia drivers, and shutdown XP.
2. Disconnect the monitor at first boot. If the computer is booted, attach it again.
3. Install the latest (at the time of writing) NVidia ForceWare driver (v91.47), and reboot.
4. Update the Plug and Play Monitor driver.
5. Open the ForceWare Control Panel, and select the Display category. Under Appearance select Manage custom timings, select the display you wish to add the custom timing for (assuming you're using more than one display i.e. dualview), and click Create...
6. In the Custom Timings window click the Advanced button to expose the Back-end parameters, enter the native resolution under Custom display mode values (i.e. Horizontal=1680, Vertical=1050, Refresh=60), and within the back-end parameters change the timing standard to CVT Reduced Blank. Now make sure that the back-end parameters for the resolution match the parameters you entered under custom display mode values.
7. I've found on several occasions that although I was entering 1680x1050 as the custom resolution, the back-end parameters remained at 1280x1024, which resulted in the monitor panning a desktop of 1680x1050 using an actual resolution of 1280x1024. If you find this happens change the timing standard to either CVT or CVT reduced blank. Test your changes by clicking the Test button, you may have to repeat the tweaking and testing process until you get the correct results. Make sure you're getting the resolution you want, and click OK to save the timing setting.
8. You should find that the resolution of the DVI display changes to that which you entered in the Custom Timings window, where available use the On Screen Display/Diagnostics on the monitor to confirm that the resolution is correct.
Of, je kan eerst dit eens proberen:
1) Ga naar het nVidia Control Panel
2) Klik op "Manage Custom Resolutions"
3) Voer de resolutie in en druk op OK. (als je geen beeld meer krijgt, moet je je pc resetten)
