Per router staat daar uitgelegd hoe je een poort kan forwarden. Als dit lukt lijkt me dat een betere oplossing dan de firewall van de router compleet uit te schakelen.

Ik snap er inderdaad niets van... Najah, blijf ik wel bij die trage LimeWire opgescheept vrees ik. :P
Kan je, zoals ik al vroeg, niet gewoon zo'n firewall IN je router uitschakelen?

Sorry, ik had niet naar de eerste pagina gekeken..
Je kan de firewall uitzetten in je router. Je moet dan inloggen in je router en dan naar het menuutje 'wireless AP' Volgens mij kan je daar een kruisje weghalen bij 'enable firewall' of iets dergelijks. Als het daar niet kan zal het wel bij 'security' kunnen. Ik heb niet genoeg kennis van routers om te kunnen zeggen of dit verstandig is of niet. Misschien dat anderen hier wat over kunnen zeggen.
Heb je trouwens al geprobeerd om je provider op te bellen en daar het probleem voor te leggen?

Nee, heb ik niet gedaan omdat het probleem niet bij hen ligt, maar bij mezelf --> de router.
Zal eens kijken in mijn router-configuratie.
[edit] heb in alle menu's eens gekeken, maar nergens staat er een optie waarbij ik de firewall tijdelijk mee kan uitschakelen. :s [/edit]

Misschien kan je provider je de waarden van je DNS etc. geven die je moet invoeren om je poort te forwarden.
Je kan je firewall vrijwel zeker uitschakelen als je dat wilt. In het begin van deze topic geef je zelf een link naar de handleiding van je modem waarin ongetwijfeld staat hoe dit moet.
